FUTURE CARE COST ASSESSMENT
Individuals who have experienced catastrophic or non-catastrophic injury can have chronic health care needs. A Life Care Plan, also known as a “future care cost projection” or “assessment of future care needs,” is a report that projects the needs of an individual for whom future care has been recommended, as well as the associated costs.
The official definition is below, as developed by the International Academy of Life Care Planners (IALCP) section of the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (IARP).

The Life Care Plan is a dynamic document based upon
published standards of practice, comprehensive assessment, data analysis and research,
which provides an organized, concise plan for current and future needs with associated cost for individuals who have experienced catastrophic injury or have chronic health care needs.
